Student Enrollment Update

Friday, October 16, 2015 - 10:00am

We tried our best to accommodate all the students who applied from grades 10-12 for the inaugural academic year, 2015-2016. Given the limited number of mentors available, and the fact that this year is a pilot program, we were able to place 76 students with 45 mentors. We gave precedence to seniors, as this is their last year to be able to participate. We regret that our current capacity as a pilot year cannot serve all the students interested in participation.

To accommodate more students next year, we plan to send out the 2016-2017 AAR application in December. This will allow more time for us to place students. Also, we have already begun our mentor recruitment process for next year.

Thank you for being interested in the AAR Program. The mission of the program is to provide an opportunity to many students with specific interests to connect with a mentor who shares similar interests. We hope to help more students discover their passion, and provide a setting to reflect, while working on a research project in the future.
