Spring Semester Goals

Tuesday, January 19, 2016 - 10:42am

Happy New Year! The students are back and Spring Semester is in full swing. Here’s an update on the AAR program and a reminder of upcoming dates. Almost all students successfully submitted their Research Proposal Submission in December. January and February should be dedicated to executing the goals students set up in their research proposal such as performing of any experiments and data collection. In March, the students will wrap up the experimental phase of their work, begin drawing conclusions, and start to put their poster together. The initial draft of the final poster should be turned in on April, 15th. Mentors should provide feedback and the final poster should be turned in by April, 29th.

The poster display and celebration will be held at the end of May. Students who are considering publishing their work are encouraged to turn in a paper in May, but the submission of a paper is optional in this our pilot year.

Best of luck to our first cohort of AAR students in accomplishing their research goals during Spring Semester!
