AAR Begins 2017-18 School Year with Teacher Kickoff

Teachers and AAR staff gathered at the PAUSD district office Friday, Aug. 11 to formally kick off the next year of Advanced Authentic Research (AAR).

At the kickoff, teachers from multiple departments at Gunn and Paly met with AAR project staff to plan how best to serve students entering the program this year, how to provide the most effective and comprehensive course offerings, and to share best practices for teaching students how to conduct research and think critically.

We are excited to get to know this year’s group of new and returning AAR students, and we can’t wait to see what our students produce this year!
