Concluding Our Inaugural Year

Friday, May 20, 2016 - 12:27pm

On Monday, May 16th, we hosted our inaugural Celebratory Showcase at Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School.  Sixty-six projects by one hundred one students were featured at our poster presentation. These projects covered topics within humanities, business, social science and STEM fields.  AAR students presented their year long research and projects to eager listeners ranging from parents and PAUSD staff to current and future mentors. Community members throughout Palo Alto joined us in celebrating student work.  This poster presentation was an exciting capstone to our pilot year and is something to look forward to next year.

We extend our warmest thanks and deepest gratitude to everyone who supported this program and helped make the “what if’s” Dr. Max McGee mentioned in his opening speech a reality.

If you were not able to attend, you can checkout the Palo Alto Pulse and a video created by Silicon Valley Talent Partnership, where many of our students were featured.  Please see our program (aarshowcaseprogramfinal.pdf) for more detailed information about student accomplishments, projects and our supporters.
