Summary
This projects looks at former trades that happened in the NBA in the past three years. First, it will identify the traded players major statistics (PPG, RPG, APG, TOPG) pre and post trade. Then identify the NBA.com trade tracker for the instant analysis and ESPN for the statistics after trade and how the team did pre and post trade. Finally, it will run the trade in a simulation to see how accurate the simulation is. Once that is fine tuned, it will predict upcoming trades.
Personal Statement
I have always been very interested in sports especially from a young age, so when I first started to watch live sports and understand what went on between games I was always fascinated with how teams seemed to know hot to trade for the right players, and with this project i am trying to breakdown how and why they work.
