Can Transit Oriented Development Effectively Increase Voter Turnout among Historically Underrepresented Minorities?
Summary
For decades, voter turnout among minorities has significantly lagged behind that of caucasians in the United States. This project will examining whether or not Transit Oriented-Development, an urban planning concept in which housing surrounds a major transportation hub, can help improve voter turnout among minorities.
