Summary

This project aims to investigate the disproportionate impacts that climate change has on minorities in the U.S. Minorities are hit hardest when environmental disasters strike. Minorities often have fewer resources to help them recover and often face more frequent and worse environmental disasters. As climate change becomes an increasingly significant issue, the disproportionate impacts it has on minorities also become an increasingly important issue. An observational approach with a hybrid of qualitative and quantitative data will be used to do extensive research on New Orleans, where disproportionate impacts of climate change on minority populations is apparent.
